Moved to Vegas in 07 had a 300c 5.7 Hemi I absolutely loved. Great driving car, however, for long family trips especially with camping not so great. Wound up trading it in for a VW Routan, a rebranded Grand Caravan with "European Handling". Great van served my family well. During maintenance visits; had a Passat as a loaner a couple of times and really liked the car, the looks and the space inside. In 14 I bought an RV for the family and the need for the mini van diminished. Test drove the Sport trim level of the 15 Passat, liked the two tone color exterior and interior. Sport trim for VW Passat is solely a "looks" trim no sport mechanicals, still liked it. Waited a bit longer, found a 5sp manual version and "pulled the trigger". Don't regret it, now I am sliding down the slippery slope of tuning it, as it is not your typical VW enthusiast model, like a Golf R, GTI/GLI. 03FEB17 - Had the Passat "Dynoed" 204 209 212 208 at the wheels average of three, not to shabby for a 170HP at the crank factory.

Peter- I am wondering how much rub you are dealing with? I have heard complaints from some of the Sportwagon guys under hard cornering.
