Purchased in September 2004 with 110,000 miles. I found it on eBay at a dealership in Connecticut. This was bought to replace the unreliable Mitsubishi Starion as my daily driver. My choice of this specific car and in this famous color scheme was heavily inspired by the anime Initial D which I had recently been made aware of. This was the closest thing we had in the US at the time. I was very fond of this car and for the most part didn't have problems with it. On this car I pretty much exclusively focused on appearance or interior modifications. The only repair I remember was taking it to a local Subaru dealer to have the head gaskets replaced from an intermittent overheating issue. This car was also taken to the Pine Barrens Express Rally here in New Jersey but we decided to drop out at the half way point due to the car having loss of power issues. This was later discovered to be triggered by severe bumps causing the fragile MAS to bug out. Similar to the Miata, I felt like I started to hear some potentially bad noise from the engine and figured it might be time to change it up. It was traded to a dealership towards the 2005 Impreza WRX STI. I later discovered that the a person on Northern California bought the car and had it shipped cross country where he began a motor swap and other extensive modifications and I believe was sold again. Current whereabouts unknown.
