This is my first vehicle, I wanted a old truck so that I could work on it and build both dreams and memories. My grandfather purchased the truck for me in 2010 for I believe it was $4,000 (I wasn't allowed in the room), though knowing my grandfather, I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to make some sort of deal (he was a retired car salesman). The man we purchased the truck from was a WWII veteran, air-force. The truck was just sitting under his car porch untouched and unmoved for many years. According to him, I am the fourth owner, however I am not so sure if that is true or not. He told me that he bought the truck from a man that had it locked in a BARN of all things, I later met the owner of the truck that sold it to him... he was a neighbor who has never owned a barn. After we purchased the truck I talked to the war veteran for several hours, he had so many awesome war stories, it was great and is a fantastic memory. However, I am not sure if they are true or not due to many of them being more fantastical than belief. Well, time has passed, and my grandfather has also, but I hope to keep these memories and this truck for many many year to come. I have many plans to make the truck my own and a little more up-to-date, probably a new paint job not too far in the future (Yay). I have already replaced quite a few parts, due to breakage over time (it is an 88' after all) but I wouldn't be able to recall all that I have done, nor what I replaced them with, however, I will try to keep this as up-to-date as possible from now on, mostly for me to see how far it has come.
