        VEHICLE STORY

I originally got this car from my dad back in high school. It was his daily driver until he bought his truck and handed to me (+my family). It was a great car, it was decently fast, handled great and was a Mercedes, so that always a bonus. Since it was my first car (technically), I took good care of it. The interior was spotless and the exterior had very little wear considering at the time it was approaching 75,000 miles. We drove this car everywhere and it always worked, never failed us once. But all good things must come to an end – And unfortunately one night in the summer of 2015, I was driving home and was hit from behind at about 101 mph by a 90's Dodge Neon on the highway. If you look at the back from the side, you can just see how hard he hits us basing off of how far the trunk is pushed in. We got viscously spun around a few times and bounced off the guardrail multiple times. Luckily for us, (me & my sister) we walked away mostly ok – though my sister suffered a concussion and is still dealing with that today. But we are lucky that it wasn't worst, because if we had people sitting in the back seats, well thing would be different. Also, thanks to the Germans for build a rock solid car that kept us safe, it really means a lot actually. But getting back to the story - the person who hit us was drunk and had drugs in his system. When he hit us, both the driver and the passenger were not wearing their seatbelts and their car flipped multiple times before coming to a rest. Surprisingly though, they survived, but were in really bad shape. If we made it home that night, the car would have hit 130,000 miles. And at the time, the car still rev'ed and drove like it did the day my dad bought it. So thanks Mercedes for building an awesome car and keeping us safe. #RIPMerc2015
