I got the vehicle in 2013 as my first car / 4WD, before I used to ride bikes. It came converted with a 2JZGE VVTi conversion out of a JZS161. I ran that for a couple of months until it broke for some reason I haven.t been able to ascertain to this day. I thought of converting it to its basic 2.5 turbodiesel spec, but; 1. It was costly, and 2. Where's the fun in that? I eventually bought a 1UZFE/A341E combo out of a 1989-1992 UZS131 and started the long tortuous journey on the conversion. Between limited funds and free time, the conversion took the best part of a year to complete by myself and has been now my daily runner for a bit under two years now. Quite a few custom pieces were designed and made by me, and the aim was to get as good a balance as I could, given that it's a 4WD, and I'm happy to say that the engine sits really low and far back (the front two engine cylinders are behind the front axle line). I've got a few mods to do still, one of them is conversion to an MS3X/Microsquirt ECU package for the engine and transmission, and a few months down the line I'm planning on an IRS conversion and a long travel setup on the front. Still have to work out the details on that, but it's definitely going to happen. Also, I've got new FOX Racing 2" smooth body remote reservoir shocks that I need to fit, and they'll probably go on with the conversion to IRS and long travel front suspension. Custom parts include: 1. Rear bowl, enlarged sump and pickup. 7 litres capacity 2. Custom engine mounts 3. Custom gearbox mount 4. Custom 2.25-3" single exit exhaust with glass pack resonator and muffler 5. Custom wiring harness Thank you for looking!
