Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it? This is my 3rd Mustang. My first was a 95 GT then a 94 Cobra. I wanted to try a mod motor and went with this 98 GT. I went with this one because it had a good start for bolt on mods.  Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start,  what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? When I first got in I wanted to do a PI Swap and get the suspension smother. So 3 months after I bought the car it was tore down to rebuild. I like a good cam so I put one in that had a rough idle and a high power band but would compliment a spray of nitrous. I did a full exhaust system install and then it needed to also look like I had always wanted the first two to look. I installed the 00 Cobra R style hood, S281 style spoiler and FR500 wheels. I drove it for the spring and summer but felt it was still needing more.  This winter I swapped the motor for an 03 GT motor for stock lower compression. Still on a budget so no built block yet. I sold most of what I had purchased for the new build. I picked up an On3 2nd gen forward facing single turbo to base the build around. I got 47lbs Ford Racing injectors, SCT5000 MAF, Professional products fuel rails, Walbro pump, UPR K-member kit, Maximum Motorsports coilovers and Caster Camber plates. I am also swapping out the stock SRA with 3:73 for an 04 Cobra IRS and Eibach Sportline springs. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? I hope that the best bang for my buck will be the turbo, but I also think swapping my SRA to an IRS will be an improvement on daily driving through the summer. How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? At first I just went with what I found as common and then I wanted to build it around the turbo and grow from their to whatever it can be. What are you planning next? I want to save for a better transmission. I need to either swap the T45 to a T56 or a TKO with a good clutch. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? Being on a tight budget is the hardest challenge. I am a husband, dad, and a student so finding funding to make my dream car is a challenge.
