What made you choose this particular product?

The 135is is a small run car. There were other programming options but the other company would have had to pull the computer from under the intake. The Dinan product was a direct uplaod.

What were you trying to accomplish by adding this product?

I did this myself. You have to use a direct cable to your router and the update is live. Be sure of your connection because errors (on your part) can brick the car requiring a dealer reprogram. Everything went fine for me but the install was still a bit nerve wracking.

Once you’ve had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

The program worked just like advertised. I changed my car to a square set up so I could rotate the tires. It turns out, with the extra power, I was getting a bit more wheel spin during gear changes 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 that my rear tires lasted about 4,500 miles.

Any additional comments?

Read through the instructions for the upload several times. All the warning lights on the dash will illuminate during the programming session. This is not a bad thing. There may be a pause during the session. That is okay too. Use a direct cable connection, and avoid WiFi if at all possible. Tell your family to not use the Internet during your download session. If you're not very technical at all, it would be better to have a Dinan installer do the programming for you.
