Now you can get that unique vintage look with a durable black powder coated finish. This is a reproduction of the original intake manifold designed by Vic Edelbrock Sr. in 1938. The Slingshot is a real show stopper and even includes stainless steel acorn nuts for mounting the two halves. Match with our block letter heads for a timeless look. Will fit Ford and Mercury engines made from 1938 to 1948. Will also fit 1949-53 with modifications. Includes assembly hardware and gasket #8700. Carburetor Recommendations: Edelbrock 94 #1151. Installation Notes: Use linkage kit #1032; carb stud kit #8006. Recommended intake gasket: Edelbrock #7234 or Fel-Pro #MS2853. Manifold height: A-7.75", B-7.75". Port exit dimensions: 1.3" x 1.7".

Straight forward but not a simple install.

Yes. Engine makes close to 300rwhp all motor. Pretty good for a Windsor 302.

What made you choose this particular product?
Was looking for a good intake with some top end power. I've heard nothing but great things about these and now I know why.
Is this your first time buying from this brand? Did you consider other brands?
Yes. I considered trick flow but I honestly don't like the look of their intakes lol.
Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?
Fit like a glove. But my throttle cable bracket was too close, I ended up not even using my EGR delete plate and having to use an EGR spacer to clear the valve covers. It is VERY close to the hood. Keep that in mind. I planned on getting a bigger hood anyway.
Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
Far exceeded my expectations. The car feels like it can actually breathe now, and it breathes plenty on the top end.
Any additional comments?
Edelbrock parts are made in the USA. That's a big deal for me.
