What made you choose this particular product?
Best price for in channel vent visors with good reviews as well. With the issue of bounce back windows on newer vehicles I didn't want to break the bank on a product that I might end up breaking or having to throw away
What were you trying to accomplish by adding this product?
Being able to let fresh air in while it's parked, also fresh air if raining/snowing while driving. I'm one of those people who has to have a window atleast cracked if not open while driving even if heat or A/C is on.
Was it easy install? Any installation tips that will help others?
Very easy to install. Just read the instructions and do as they say as slide front end first then at angle slide back part in then slide up til fitted... ALSO all the negative reviews about in channel ventvisors with newer vehicles with the safety bounce back sensors don't go together and say you have to get the stick on kind (which aren't as nice looking imo) must be inpatient, not read directions, or mounted in wrong part of window sill. Once installed leave windows up I believe said 72 hours. To be extra sure I waited ai believe 5 days for the rubber seals to (stretch/adjust) and form to the visors. Also I let truck sit in the sun as much as possible once visors were in to help the rubber you slide them behind kind of be more flexible and mold to the visors.
Once you’ve had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
Yes, was very hesitant at first due to mixed reviews bc of the window bounce back safety feature. I have no issue with that what so ever. Only issue is since I have auto folding mirrors they push the front part of vent visor in at the bottom, no real biggie though.
Any additional comments?
Once put into place leave windows up for numerous days to help the rubber seals around window form to them. In return won't have an issue with bounce back safety feature. Also I waited til summer so could sit for days in the heat/sun to help the rubber form better. I can, and do roll windows completely down and drive highway 4 days a week and have no issue when get home and roll windows up. My windows are tinted as well so not very much thicker than normal window but is by some and I have no issue, so if doesn't work for you try letting them sit longer with windows up and try for hot weather. Don't forget to reset/calibrate you auto up windows either after first time rolling them down. Easy as that
