seems to be quite a bit firmer than factory bushings

Yes. Didn't really consider other brands since everyone I asked (and didn't) told me to get Energy Suspension.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

Had it installed. Had no means to take out/replace the main control arm bushing.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

SO much better (since they weren't torn). The handling was entirely different.
