About this product

Part #: M-1104-B

Over the years, racing has become big business for teams, sponsors, and manufacturers around the world. However, "grassroots" motorsports remain at the core of Ford's DNA. Grassroots performance began with Ford and has become a part of American culture. The Model A is the most modified car in history, and enthusiasts the world over continue to embrace Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln cars and trucks from the 1930s right on through to today. Road racers, drag racers. circle track competitors and street rodders have channeled, stepped-on, hopped-up, chopped down and modified their favorite cars to excel on the street, at the track, and in car shows. The Ford Mustang immediately became part of this culture when it was introduced in 1964-and remains a staple of grassroots performance to this day. In 2014, Mustang marks 50 years of winning, and has driven its way into racing history. Moreover, the car's appeal is universal; a recent European study identified Mustang as the most desirable classic car in Europe. Motorsports continue to evolve, with advances in technology and greater demand for smaller powertrains, as well as growing appetite for new formats like Rally Cross and Drifting. How it develops in the next 50 years remains to be seen, but we intend to be there to celebrate it, thanks to passionate enthusiasts like you, who have driven the success of Ford, Ford Racing and Mustang since the beginning.

What made you choose this particular product?
Went with 05-10/07-12GT500 struts from Bilstein, necessitating these.
What were you trying to accomplish by adding this product?
I considered some caster/camber plates, but they seemed to require reusing part of these mounts, which meant this purchase was necessary. I decided to just go with these mounts and wait on CC plates.
Was it easy install? Any installation tips that will help others?
Easy install. Point arrows towards outside (near fender not engine) when lowering. Should keep camber in spec with 1-1.5" drop.
Once you’ve had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
My original mounts were 11-14 strut style. They popped open when I pulled them off the struts and blew ball bearings everywhere. Garbage. These new GT500 mounts were much beefier and they don't creak.
Any additional comments?
Get an alignment.

What made you choose this particular product?
Decent power increase
Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?
Plenty of videos but you will need to run new wire for the purge valve
Any additional comments?
Definitely woke the car up but raised the power band a lot higher in the rpm range

What made you choose this particular product?
It was the most cost effective method of lowering the car, and it's made by Ford.
What were you trying to accomplish by adding this product?
Lower the car enough to make it legal for autocross, as well as improve the handling.
Was it easy install? Any installation tips that will help others?
If you don't have one, you need to get a spring compressor to install this. You need to reuse the top hats for the front shocks, or install new ones if they're in bad shape. Either way the springs need to be compressed. The instructions do not mention that the sway bar end links need to be removed from the front shocks and that that nut as well as the top nut for the shocks require a pass through socket wrench and an allen key. Make sure that you have a 15mm pass through socket and an 18mm pass through socket. The instructions also require that the nuts and bolts involved are replaced. Myself and a buddy or two were able to follow the instructions and install this in an afternoon with basic hand tools, and we're nowhere near professional mechanics. The rear was incredibly simple but the front took a while, partially because I needed to pick up the pass through wrench mid install.
Once you’ve had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
Absolutely. The car feels more planted and direct, without sacrificing comfort. It also sits perfectly low with the wheels filling the arches beautifully yet never rubbing.
Any additional comments?
The box that it's shipped in is fairly large and heavy, and does not fit easily in the back seat of a Fiesta. Definitely put it in the trunk/hatch or the front seat if you need to go anywhere with it. Also, get an alignment after just in case.
