About this product

Part #: 57-3513

The K&N 57-3513 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Honda Civic models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Civic's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 57-3513 air intake comes with a carbon fiber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed a screwdriver, socket set and a 10 millimeter wrench. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I've installed CAI's before, they don't take very long to do.

Sounds good in the higher RPMs, I doubt it actually increases performance

What made you choose this particular product?
The owner before me was responsible for installing this part, but from the HP gain K&N boasts and the fact that the OEM intake is bulky and unnecessary, I can see why he chose to do the swap.
Is this your first time buying from this brand? Did you consider other brands?
I've bought from K&N before and they've always been pretty top notch in my experience. I've also bought from Spectre, but this wasn't my choice so K&N it is.
Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?
I've taken it off multiple times to mess with other things and, yes, it is quite easy to remove and put back.
