About this product

Part #: 69-1007TS

The K&N 69-1007TS Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Honda Civic VI, SI, LX, HX, EX and DX models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake which is designed to pull in outside air and dramatically reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 69-1007TS cold-air intake consists of a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter that mounts near the passenger side wheel well directing outside air through free-flowing aluminum tubing into a short ram induction tube that delivers high volumes of clean air into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tubes have an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last. The cold-air intake system accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and a replacement silicone crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter comes with a water repellent DryCharger filter wrap to protect the filter from moisture. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This cold air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and an Allen wrench. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

What made you choose this particular product?
The owner before me was responsible for installing this part, but from the HP gain K&N boasts and the fact that the OEM intake is bulky and unnecessary, I can see why he chose to do the swap.
Is this your first time buying from this brand? Did you consider other brands?
I've bought from K&N before and they've always been pretty top notch in my experience. I've also bought from Spectre, but this wasn't my choice so K&N it is.
Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?
I've taken it off multiple times to mess with other things and, yes, it is quite easy to remove and put back.
