About this product

This Spectre High Performance Racing (HPR) Air Filter is a red media clamp-on filter that can be used for a wide variety of applications. Using the included adapter rings, this filter can fit 3 inch, 3-1/2 inch, and 4 inch diameter tubes. Manufactured using high quality materials throughout, including oiled synthetic media, urethane, and steel mesh, this washable performance filter is precision engineered for low restriction and better performance. This filter's top houses an inverted cone filter for improved service life and enhanced flow potential. Designed with a triple chrome plated steel top and base, this 9-1/2 inch tall air filter is factory pre-oiled and ready to use.

Yes that was the first time I heard of that brand I was looking for a typical K&N lol but I got the specter

I installed it myself very easy not much work

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

It’s a good bang for the buck I was impressed but I noticed a little because that’s the only thing I got non stock

First time buying Spectre. While they have a reputation from years past for cheap, low quality stuff, the fact is, it’s cheap, and it works “good enough”.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

It wasn’t too hard to install. My only advice would be to be careful oiling the air filter, too much oil, and it’ll ruin the MAF sensor.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

It’s noisy. I’m not sure I like that it’s so noisy. At first, I didn’t know WHAT the noise was, turns out it was my IAC.
