About this product

This Spectre High Performance Racing (HPR) Air Filter is a red media clamp-on filter that can be used for a wide variety of applications. Using the included adapter rings, this filter can fit 3 inch, 3-1/2 inch, and 4 inch diameter tubes. Manufactured using high quality materials throughout, including oiled synthetic media, urethane, and steel mesh, this washable performance filter is precision engineered for low restriction and better performance. This filter's top houses an inverted cone filter for improved service life and enhanced flow potential. Designed with a triple chrome plated steel top and base, this 9-1/2 inch tall air filter is factory pre-oiled and ready to use.

Yes, it is cheap and it looks great under the hood!

I installed it myself and it was pretty easy, just finding the right diameter was the hardest part. And that was even easy because its all rubber and plastic so the diameters didn't have to be as accurate as, say fitting up an exhaust.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

I clamped it onto the stock plastic piping though so it's not as loud as a full short ram intake, and some small power gains are lost through the plastic piping but it still works very nicely

Extremely easy to install... unless you have to make some pesky oem parts fit with the tubing.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

It completely changed the tone of my engine as well as giving me some very noticeable performance.

It was pretty damn difficult to install. I needed to drill it out to fit the valve cover breather stem.
