About this product

Spectre air intake systems are designed to get more horsepower and torque from your vehicle while working to protect your engine from harmful debris. This air intake comes with a high performance Spectre reusable low restriction air filter, high quality cast aluminum tubing and a black powder coated heat shield to help prevent engine air from entering the intake inlet. Spectre air intakes come with the necessary boots, clamps and hardware for an OE fit and finish.

Yes, and yes. I considered K&N at the time but decided on spectre due to function and price.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

Very simple, make sure you have a curved elbow coming off the throttle body.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

Yes. Works very well.

Any additional comments?

Get plenty of hose clamps.

Yes that was the first time I heard of that brand I was looking for a typical K&N lol but I got the specter

I installed it myself very easy not much work

It’s a good bang for the buck I was impressed but I noticed a little because that’s the only thing I got non stock

It was cheap, from a friend.

First time buying Spectre. While they have a reputation from years past for cheap, low quality stuff, the fact is, it’s cheap, and it works “good enough”.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

It wasn’t too hard to install. My only advice would be to be careful oiling the air filter, too much oil, and it’ll ruin the MAF sensor.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

It’s noisy. I’m not sure I like that it’s so noisy. At first, I didn’t know WHAT the noise was, turns out it was my IAC.
