Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it?It was free! A family friend who is also in the cars had it, it blew a ball joint as he was driving and he was going to scrap it. (He has another project.) He came to me and said "if you can fix the car you can keep it", so naturally I fixed it. I've only put $300 into this car, and I'd say that's worth it. Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it?I'll start with what I fixed. I ordered new control arms and halfshafts for both sides, replaced the old ones, and the car was decent enough to drive by then. I got the air intake/filter on and the rest is history.Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? The coilovers, because I didn't pay for them and I didn't install them! How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share?Cheap because I'm poor. Do things yourself, you'll save money and feel like a man! What are you planning next?To crack my block with a small Volvo turbo. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build?Finding out other problems with the car as I go along. For example, I need to replace the rear beam bushings as the left one is shot, and since they're a PITA to replace I'm just gonna do both.
