From the very beginning, I've always wanted an STI hatchback. Even before I had my WRX, it was always my goal to have one because I loved the fact that you can get the Subaru halo car in a practical, unassuming hatchback form! It was impossible to find an example at the time that wasn't already abused, raced, and have a lot of miles put on it. The cars that I saw that were for sale always had over 80k miles or if they were low miles, was just at an unreasonable price. That's why I ended up with my WRX. Fast forward a year later, a friend of mine was trying to sell his STI hatchback. 27,000 miles. The thing was absolutely mint. Interior? Clean. Exterior? Needs some love, but paint was mint. Best thing of all, it was fully built. I was enamored with the car. Sure it wasn't white like I wanted, but this is my attainable dream car! The first ride that I took, I immediately fell in love. I was scared of the car. It was loud, it was raw, it was FAST. My friend was smiling the whole time he took me on a ride. The speed he took the car was no where close to legal! From that point on, I tried to figure out what I needed to do to make sure I can even get the car. Crunched some numbers and figured that I can do buy it. Long story short, here it is, my dream car right in front of me as I type this story.
