I've been a Euro Ford fan for literally decades, so it was kinda a given I would want a Focus ST. In fact, I ordered this car the first week it was possble to do so (May 2012), and then waited 6 months for it to arrive (November 2012). It's an Oxford White ST3 with the black leather Recaro interior, Sony 10 speaker stereo w/sub, Navigation, and HID headlights, AND NO SUNROOF! Now that I think about it, it's actually the only ST3 I've ever seen without a sunroof. The only modifications currently are an MBRP 3" exhaust and tinted windows. My relationship to the Focus ST is a bit special as I was one of 8 social media "VIPs" invited by Ford to Key West, Florida to witness and participate in the filming of a first-of-its-kind crowd filmed commercial. I was an active participant on the Official ST Facebook page and intending to buy one months before they could even be ordered. Apparently it was enough to get the attention the head of the Focus ST development team who invited me. The commercial featured a mock street race through Key West by performance/stunt drivers Tanner Foust and Greg Tracy, and Ford invited EVERYONE to attend and shoot video of the action and submit it through a website, where the director would select the clips he wanted to use to assemble the commercial. It was a fantastic experience, and a ton of fun. They used a small bit of my footage and I even appeared in the longer version of the commercial. Even if I didn't have such a great experience to enhance my enjoyment of the car, I would enjoy it anyway. It's been a great car, and the perfect compromise I needed for my daily driving: fun and function. I chauffeur my kids to school, commute, take family trips, auto-x, and I've even rally-x'd it. It's very capable and really is a jack of all trades kinda car.
